Ying Shao graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature from the School of Literature at Nankai University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Comparative Literature and World Literature at the School of Literature, Tianjin Normal University.

With extensive experience in frontline education and teaching, she served as a professor of Chinese for many years at Nankai University Binhai College. Her courses included “Introduction to Chinese and Western Cultures,” “Literary Theory,” “Selected Readings and Appreciation of Literary Masterpieces,” “World Art History,” and “Writing.” She has also published several books.

Shao has experience as a part-time teacher at Nankai Primary and Middle Schools, providing rich expertise in Chinese language education and foundational education. As a writer, literary critic, and scholar, she is a member of the Writers’ Association, the Critics’ Special Committee, and the Online Literature Special Committee. She has frequently participated in national and provincial literary event evaluations.
